Art Fair

A school sponsored event displaying and selling Art.



A Family event planned for spring. A great chance for all families to have tons of fun playing academic bingo.

Send in boxtops from specially marked General Mills products. Clip them and send them in to school. Our volunteers will redeem them for 10 cents each. It all adds up. Encourage your relatives to save their boxtops too.


Basket Raffle / Ice Cream Social

Enjoy a night of fun eating ice cream at Woodward. While there, take a chance on winning a gift basket. All baskets are donations collected from within the school community. This has become one of Woodward’s favorite fun-raisers.

Gift Wrap

Watch for it next fall!


Purchase a T-shirt to show your school spirit. Be sure to wear it on Spirit Day (last Friday of each month). A portion of sales profits the school.

School Pictures

Order individual student and/or class pictures as keepsakes. A portion of sales is returned to the school.

Sept. 12

Scholastic Book Fair

Parents may purchase from a variety of children’s books set up at Woodward. Teacher Wish Lists are displayed for those who would like to purchase a special book for the classroom library. A portion of the sales is given back to the school.

Bulletin Board


Bulletin Boards in school lobbies are kept current to improve school/home communications.


Community Awareness

Each month the committee announces a list of donations accepted on behalf of the local food panty. During the holidays special giving programs encourage families to help those less fortunate.


Community Read Day

Guest Readers from the community are invited to participate in a special day celebrating literacy. Each class welcomes its own surprise guest.

Cultural Arts

Presentations are brought in house to expose students to Art, Music and Literature.


Enrichment Programs

Each grade is treated to a special program that correlates to its curriculum.


Field Trips

Each grade has the opportunity to experience learning outside the classroom.


Health Week

Promotes healthy lifestyles and healthy food choices.



Introduces innovative approaches to Math

Teacher Appreciation

Each school plans a special way to say thanks to all of its teachers and specialists.

Contents for the Thursday Packet must be approved by the principal of the associated school. Please contact the school secretary for details.

School Coffees

Coffees take place at 9:30am in the Woodward cafeteria. The school coffees allow parents a chance to meet directly with the school principal and to learn more about what is happening at the school.
